INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO IOCL
We feel our immense pleasure in sharing our successful Industrial visit to the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) facility. This visit took place on 22nd September, 2023 and it was organized by APIIT SD INDIA, Panipat under the guidance of our worthy Chairman sir Dr. Umesh Aggarwal, our Director sir Dr. Rajesh Gargi and TPO Head Dr. Anju Bala to enhance the practical knowledge of the petroleum industry. APIIT group, consisting of 50 students, arrived at the IOCL facility located at Panipat. We were warmly welcomed by the IOCL staff, who gave us an overview of the company's history, mission, and objectives. After this, they provided a good refreshment to our students and to staff members. We were then divided into smaller groups to facilitate our tour of the various sections of the facility. The highlight of the visit was the tour of the refinery operations. We had the opportunity to witness the entire process of crude oil refining, from initial separation to the production of various petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, and petrochemicals. The IOCL staff explained the technology and safety measures in place to ensure efficient and safe operations. IOCL's commitment to environmental sustainability was evident throughout our visit. Safety is a top priority at IOCL, and we were given a detailed explanation of the safety protocols in place to protect both employees and the environment. After the tour, we had an interactive Q&A session with IOCL experts, where we could clarify doubts and together we enjoyed Lunch there also. Our visit to IOCL was an enriching experience that provided valuable practical insights into the petroleum industry. It deepened our understanding of refinery operations, environmental responsibility, and safety practices in the industry. We would like to extend our gratitude to the Head of Training and Development Cell Mr.Pankaj Tripathi and Mr. Kuldeep who organized such a superb Program for APIIT Group and also to the whole IOCL team for their warm hospitality and willingness to share their knowledge and expertise with us and our It significantly contributed to our academic and professional development. We look forward to more such opportunities to gain practical exposure to our field of study. is spontaneous and unscripted. The maximum time to think over the topic will be 2 minutes and for speech will be 5 minutes. Department of Applied Science organized Extempore Activity for B.tech 1st year students in their classroom on 15th September, 2023. There are 30 students of B.tech ( CSE, EEE, ME, AI) in this event who participated with great enthusiasm.
