Cyber-Crime Workshop
The workshop titled "Cyber Security" convened experts and participants to delve into the complexities of cyber threats and crimes prevalent in contemporary society. Hosted by CSE Deptt. of Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology SD India Panipat, which aimed to shed light on the evolving landscape of cybercrime and strategies for prevention and mitigation.Security awareness training equips employees with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to common cyber threats, reducing the likelihood of data breaches caused by human error or negligence. Consider a well-crafted phishing email landing in an employee's inbox, seemingly from a trusted source. Without security awareness training, the employee might unknowingly click on a malicious link, downloading malware or exposing information leading to a breach. However, with proper training, the employee recognizes the signs of phishing, avoids falling into the trap and reports the incident to their security team, thus preventing a potentially devastating data breach. Diagnose and investigate cybersecurity events or crimes related to computer systems and digital evidence. Diagnose attacks on an organization’s computer systems and networks. Propose solutions including development, modification and execution of incident response plans. Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to detect current and future attacks on an organization’s computer system. .
