Industrial Visit to Varun Beverages Ltd. (Pepsico) Bottling Plant on 23 February 2019
An industry visitwas organized for APIIT students toVarun Beverages Ltd.(PepsiCo.) bottling plant Panipaton 23rd Feb 2019(Saturday). Varun Beverages Ltd.(VBL) is associated with PepsiCo since the 1990s and second largest franchisee in the world (outside US) for production and distribution and selling of PepsiCo brands such as Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Seven-Up, Mirinda Orange, Mirinda Lemon, Mountain Dew, Seven-Up Nimbooz Masala Soda, Evervess Soda, Duke’s Soda and Sting etc all over India (except Jammu & Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh).
Students were very keen to have a glance for the practical know how of this Bottling Plant.
As soon as students and faculty members arrived,Mr.Ashok, the human resource manager,welcomed the students and introduced the strict rules and regulations. He also briefed the students on the protocols to be adhered to in order to maintain the discipline during the visit.
At the plant, the students visited various departments where plant authorities explained about the operations of each department. The technical staff and Engineers at the plant also briefed the young engineers and management aspirants about the internal management and entire manufacturing process.
At the end of the plant visit, there was an interactive question-answer session. The support staff answered all the queries of the students as they all were curious to know about the complete cycle of manufacturing and the management facts.
Overall, the students were enlightened with the great learning experience of manufacturing process and management skills and equipped with the knowledge of both the technical and management skills.
